As an alternative to being alone, unsupervised, and on the streets after school, we offer an after school program that provides a safe alternative for area students.

Our after school program provides:

• tutoring, homework assistance
• arts training
• social development
• special enrichment activities
• physical activities
• Reading is Fundamental (RIF) book distribution
• Mobile MacBook computer lab with its own power and satellite Internet

Students participate in activities and games that teach teamwork and rule-governed behavior that increase success in school and help them improve their chance of living a gangfree life.

Currently, the Gang Alternatives Program (GAP) enrolls over 500 students in its after school programs in Carson, Gardena and Wilmington. This progam is largely funded by LAUSD's Beyond the Bell Branch.
